Founded a few centuries back, the small, colonial city of Valladolid was elected a ‘Pueblo Magico’ (Magic Town) for its rich history and iconic colorful houses and haciendas. After Merida, Valladolid was the second city built by Spanish colonizers in the Yucatan. The city is also famously known for The Caste War.
